Cucina Fresca (koo chee' nah frehs' kah)
Meaning "fresh kitchen," the charming shapes of this dinnerware offer simple
sophistication in muted cream, saffron and sage. In the 1300s, peasants
used rustic glazes on their hand-thrown pottery that separated during firing,
creating a deckled terra cotta edge. VIETRI reproduces these lovely, rustic
edges today using clear glazes to authenticate the peasant pottery used
throughout Tuscany until the 1800s. This pattern has both traditional and
contemporary appeal. Assorted sets of six include two each of cream, saffron,
and sage.
